There’s a certain affinity for textiles and all things blue at Yatzer these days, so these mesmerising pen drawings by French artist Jonathan Bréchignac seem right at home here, continuing the theme. Sculpture Watching at Paris’s Musée Rodin

To see more of Rodin’s works, browse the #rodin hashtag or visit the Musée Rodin location page.

Today we’re headed to Paris to see the sculptures of Auguste Rodin. Perhaps best known for his statue “Le Penseur” (“The Thinker”), Rodin’s career reached its height in the late 1800s as his distinctive naturalistic style and emphasis on bodily form grew in popularity.

Rodin also capitalized on the process of plaster casting, in which plaster molds are made from clay sculptures so they can be reproduced. This process allowed Rodin and his studio to create multiple copies of his many works, the likes of which can now be seen in museums across the world.
